Who are we?
Crosby & Moore Solicitors is a Partnership between David Crosby and Warren Moore, two very experienced Brighton based solicitors. The Partnership arose when Warren and David decided to join forces and pool their respective skills so as to be able to provide specialist advice to a much wider number of clients. Prior to the Partnership commencing on 1st February 2007, David had his own law firm, David Crosby & Co. Solicitors and Warren was a Partner in another local law firm.

The firm is a new additional to the local legal community and is modern and forward thinking in all that it does. At Crosby & Moore we place an absolute premium on client care, taking the time to listen and understand what our clients really want and using our skills and resources to achieve the best possible outcomes for them.

Our Ethos
Our ethos from the outset will always be to strive to be the very best we can be at the type of legal services we provide and to always give a first class, professional and friendly service to every client. We are a firm where achieving a client’s aims is of paramount importance to us, one where we are confident that all of our clients will be left with an equally positive view of us as a firm and as people.

Where are we based?
The firm has an office at Dolphin House, 2-5 Manchester Street, Brighton, BN2 1TF. We are based within a purpose built office premises that provides excellent modern facilities to work from. Disabled access is available to all clients that require such assistance when attending the office. A map showing where our office is located can be found on this website but please do not hesitate to telephone us if you would like to obtain additional directions.

What Services do we provide to our clients?
We are a firm that acts for clients on a variety of legal matters. In the areas that we cover, we provide a specialised level of expertise that ensures that our clients are properly and professionally represented at all times. Where a client requires advice on a matter that we do not advise upon, we will always seek to ensure that you are referred to another local expert who can best assist you in relation to that.

We are very pleased to accept instructions from existing and new clients in relation to Personal Injury-Accident Claims, Clinical Negligence, Criminal Injuries-Assault Claims, Matrimonial-Family law matters (in particular disputes over child contact arrangements, Co-Habitation & Partnership Agreements), Contractual Disputes, Debt Recovery (for businesses and individuals) and a variety of Civil Disputes. In these areas of work we will always strive to achieve for you a practical and workable solution that resolves a dispute in an amicable manner wherever possible. We believe that ‘communication’ is an excellent tool for resolving disputes and one that helps maintain, rather then damage, relationships (business and personal) that may have (and may still require) a long term basis. Whilst we encourage communication where appropriate, we do however believe that Litigation and the use of the Court process is another valuable tool that in appropriate circumstances must be used to achieve our clients goals.

Why instruct us?
You may ask yourself why instruct us, what makes us any different to other solicitors firms. We are pleased that you are asking such questions as they are legitimate matters to raise with yourself and us. We recognise that the reputation of the legal profession (and in particular Personal Injury law but not limited to that) has been somewhat tarnished in recent times by the actions of a few that has perhaps led to a perception that some claims without merit are encouraged and that whatever the outcome, legal organizations can appear to be doing better than their clients.

David Crosby and Warren Moore are firm believers that despite the adverse behaviour of others, there is still a place for a firm that always puts its client’s interests first and at all times gives a professional, success driven and friendly service. As a policy we will always give you clear, realistic and unequivocal advice and at no time will we encourage and act for a client where there are not realistic prospects of succeeding with a claim. FOR us, managing expectations and aims properly is central to us and you achieving the nest possible outcome every time.

Our Fees
We are happy to discuss your legal matter at no charge to you. This can be either by telephone or by a face to face meeting. If it is decided that you do not have a claim to pursue, you will not be asked to pay for the initial meeting. If a claim does exist and we are able to achieve a successful outcome for you, then we will seek payment of our professional fees from your opponent in addition to your damages. In summary, whatever sum you maybe awarded by way of damages for your injuries, you will keep that in full.

The firm acts for clients also under the Community Legal Service funding Scheme (formerly known as the ÔLegal Aid Scheme') in relation to Clinical Negligence cases.

We hope that by unequivocally setting out what we stand for as a firm and how we will act for you at all times, you will be happy to instruct us, confident in the knowledge that your interests will always come first with us.
